Our Experiment
The purpose of this experiment was to determine the effect of sucrose (sugar) concentration on the heart rate of daphnia. The major findings of this experiment was that
as the sucrose concentration increased, the daphnia heart rate increased.
Sucrose concentration, through the use of the ANOVA test, obtained a
statistically significant difference between its levels. The p – value of
sucrose concentration was 0.0001, which was below the alpha value of 0.05,
making this p-value statistically significant. The trend line for sucrose
concentration was linear since sucrose concentration does not have an optimum
value in daphnia.
